Michael O’Donnell – Managing Director

Michael founded Opus Business Systems in 1992, having come from an engineering background and worked in the office equipment industry since 1981. Michael’s motivation for creating the company stems from his own experience of difficulties finding a communications company that could deliver the service he himself required.

Michael’s vision was and still is, to offer customers a service driven, rather than a sales lead communications company, which delivers technology with purpose. With the right structure and the drive to be a key player in the telecommunications industry, Michael has managed to recruit a strong and loyal management team that have each worked for Opus Business Systems for many years.

John Wright – Sales Director

John joined the company in 1994 and is responsible for driving sales and marketing at Opus Business Systems. John has a strong background in sales gained in a number of industry sectors. Prior to sales, John worked in the administration and recovery of failing companies. In his spare time John coaches and tutors field hockey at his local club, when not spending time with his family.

Mark Tuvey – Director of Network Services

Mark joined the company in 2000 and is responsible for network services at Opus Business Systems. Mark’s team are responsible for the delivery and support of telephone lines and call plans, as well as data services such as broadband, local area networks (LAN’s) and mobile products and services. Prior to joining Opus, Mark enjoyed a successful career in structural CAD design in the oil and gas industry. In his spare time, Mark spends as much time as possible with his family, in addition to swimming and cycling. Mark has also an active member of the Chamber of Commerce in Sevenoaks.

Chris Terry – Operations Manager

Chris joined Opus Business Systems in 1998 as a telecoms engineer. He worked his way up through the ranks to become a project manager in 2003. Promotion to Operations Manager in 2006 was achieved side by side with studies to become a Convergence Technology Professional and Cisco Certified Network Associate. As well as  providing telecoms and network design to the sales teams at pre-sales stage, Chris and his assembled team are responsible for the planning, project management and installation of all the telecommunication solutions provided by Opus. Prior to joining Opus, Chris worked for a number of other telecommunications dealers in both sales and technical roles which helped to develop the wide spread of skills necessary for the role he now occupies. In his spare time, Chris enjoys swimming, playing football and spending time with his family and friends.

Danny Spooner – Service Manager

Danny joined Opus Business Systems in 1995 as a trainee telephone engineer. Today Danny is responsible for the company’s service team. Danny ensures that his team provide the best in class service to Opus customers, including maintenance and optimisation of customer’s telephone systems. Danny’s team works closely with the Opus sales teams, providing technical support and product expertise.

Bridget Dale - Financial Controller

Bridget joined Opus Business Systems in 2007 and is the newest member of the management team. Bridget is responsible for maintaining the Opus accounts and managing sales and purchase ledgers. Bridget has financial experience from a number of industry sectors, having previously worked for architects, property maintenance firms and fine art transporters. Hailing from Zimbabwe, Bridget likes to spend much of her spare time walking and enjoying the great outdoors.
