Since the beginning, the OPUS team from project management, to its engineers, was very helpful, insightful and focused. Advice was given where needed and their work continued mostly on their own initiative. The cabling team was especially helpful when testing cables and making spontaneous calls to the site when the situation called for it.

If you have employees working in hazardous environments whe there is risk of collapse due to electricity or toxic gases, we have the Office 160 Safegaurd with its man-down alarm. If they are working in areas with risk of explosion, there is the intrinsically safe Office 160 ATEX
Often it is not possible for an injured person to generate an emergency call themselves. It is for just such cases that the Office 160 Safeguard was developed, with an integrated man-down alarm, when the device is not in its normal vertical carrying position for a specified period of time or a no-movement alarm, when the device remains still for a particular period of time.
Either condition will automatically initiates an emergency call. A short, local pre-alarm, which can be deactivated by the user, ensures that false alarms are avoided. A manual emergency call can be triggered using the large alarm button on the top of the unit.
The operation of telephones in areas where there is a risk of an explosion is governed by safety laws, and only specially tested phones may be used. Increased danger exists in workplaces in which flammable gases, liquids and dust are stored, transported or processed. Safety measures are required, for example, with sewage treatment plants, petrol stations, chemical plants, swimming pools and waste incineration plants.
The Office 160 ATEX conforms to the international test standards for areas where a risk of an explosion exists and like the Office 160 Safeguard is additionally equipped with integrated man-down/no-movement alarms and an alarm button.
If desired, all the Office 160 models can be integrated into a tailor-made DECT positioning system which pinpoints the actual location of the user. In addition to the integration in the safety/security concept for the mobile working force, there are numerous possibilities for individual applications.
Call the team at Opus for advice on these or any of our DECT cordless handsets.
